Who is Peekabook for?
Peekabook is suitable for children above 3 years old. The reason for that is we believe in only introducing screen time after they are 3.
The books are however suitable for a wide age range as they are deliberately designed to be open-ended, and layered with content. The parent (or educator) can tailor and guide accordingly. With rich content, we believe even young children can immerse in exploration on their own.
I'm a parent of a toddler! How will Peekabook help me?
We see Peekabook as a supplementing learning tool to enrich your child's learning. You can select from topics that you feel would benefit your child and use the content and interactions to make learning fun and engaging.
Peekabook is also like a digital busy board. Take it along on long trips (no more heavy books or activity kits), or let your child be occupied productively with it for 30min. A lot of parents we tested with say that it also helps that this gives them an alternative that is more active than video watching "screen time"!
What content will I get with Peekabook?
Peekabook offers learning content in a totally new digital experience. Our books are a mixture of exploratory, imaginative and thematic learning.

We work continuously with educators to create more books that will be launched into our in-app library. What this means is that, with the same Peekabook Explorer Ring, you will be able to continuously select from an updated and growing library of fun and learning content.
Within our plans, there are books around "how things work", "busy world / encyclopedic" and learning themes such as language, numeracy, nature, and even financial literacy.
Is the explorer ring safe to use by children?
Peekabook distributed meet or exceed ASTM F963: “Standard Consumer Specification on Toy Safety” Toys distributed outside the USA meet or exceed international toy safety standard “EN-71 Safety of Toys. When you purchase one of our products, you can be confident it has been tested beyond industry standards and has met all federal requirements.
What languages are available in Peekabook?
Peekabook supports the English language only, for now.
Supporting multi languages is something on our list of possible features for non-English speaking users. Let us know what languages you would like to see in Peekabook!
Can I play Peekabook without the starter kit?
Yes you can! You can download Peekabook from the iPad app store and it comes with one free book to play. However, with the starter kit, you get a physical ring that allows your child to play in a more tangible manner. It’s really just more magical to see content spring to life when it interacts with a real life physical object.
Bundled in the starter kit are also 3 books that would cost much more if bought in-app individually. So the starter kit is really a very good place to start!
What is the difference between a virtual ring and a physical ring?
You can choose to play Peekabook with either a virtual ring or a physical ring to play. The virtual ring comes default with the Peekabook app download, while the physical ring will have to be purchased separately. Both rings will create the same effects.
When you buy a physical ring and uses it on the Peekabook app, it automatically replaces the virtual ring. This gives you the option to play with either an in-built virtual ring, or choose to enhance the learning experience with a physical ring.
From the many feedback by educators and parents, the physical ring adds an extra touch of magic to the screen-based content. It’s simply more fascinating to see things change on the screen when a physical object is placed upon it. And fascinating and engaging experiences help make learning more effective.
Does Peekabook work on android?
Currently, Peekabook is an iPad only app. We do understand a lot of parents use android tablets and would be looking into that in the near future.
My iPad is not on the list of compatible devices. Will it work for me?
Peekabook works with any iPad that can be upgraded to iOS15 and above. Please check if your iPad is able to upgrade to the above OS version. If you still have doubts about your device, drop us an email at hello@peekaworld.com
